Lights, Camera, Action: CoinSchool International Introduces Practical On-Camera Interview Training with Dumela Bots Media
On the same exciting day as its Sales and Marketing Workshop, CoinSchool International expanded its commitment to real-world learning by hosting a unique On-Camera Interview Training session. In partnership with Dumela Bots Media, this hands-on workshop gave participants the chance to strengthen their communication skills while also shining a spotlight on local businesses.
In today’s fast-paced world, being able to present yourself confidently on camera has become more than just a “nice-to-have” — it’s often essential. With this in mind, CoinSchool designed a session that focused on the core elements of effective media communication: body language, tone, clarity of message, handling unexpected questions, and maintaining a confident presence under pressure.
What made this session truly stand out was the practical studio experience. Thanks to the support of Dumela Bots Media, attendees stepped into a professional media setup—complete with lighting, microphones, and cameras—and participated in mock interviews. These scenarios mirrored real media interactions and allowed participants to apply what they had just learned in a realistic, supportive environment.
Adding to the experience, each interview centered on promoting a local Gaborone business. This thoughtful approach served two purposes: it provided meaningful content for participants to talk about and, at the same time, offered valuable exposure for local enterprises. It was a small but powerful way to contribute to the wider business community.
“We want our participants to walk away not just with knowledge, but with real confidence in using it,” shared a representative from CoinSchool International. “Our collaboration with Dumela Bots Media made this possible in a way that was both authentic and impactful.”
Feedback from attendees was enthusiastic. Many noted how stepping in front of a camera—something that once felt intimidating—became a rewarding and confidence-building experience. For some, it was their first time in a media setting, and they walked away better prepared for interviews, pitches, or even creating video content for their own businesses.
At CoinSchool International, the goal has always been to bridge the gap between learning and doing. This session was another step in that direction—practical, empowering, and rooted in community. The organisation looks forward to hosting more innovative workshops that equip individuals with the skills they need to thrive in an evolving professional world.
